Teaching Jobs in Romania

Romania is one of the most pleasant countries in Eastern Europe, with great natural beauty including the famous Transylvania region. Unfortunately, TEFL salaries are not very high and living costs are surprisingly high. You may need to share accommodation with another teacher. As per usual, it is difficult for non-EU nationals to find work here due to legal regulations (unless they happen to be married to a local person!) However, there is growing demand for classes with native speakers. Geography: Romania is a central European country known for the forested region of Transylvania, preserved medieval towns such as Sighişoara and many fortified churches and castles, notably clifftop Bran Castle, long associated with the Dracula legend. The area is ringed by the Carpathian Mountains, which are popular for trekking, climbing, skiing and bathing in natural thermal spas.
